What is polycystic
kidney disease?
Polycystic kidney
disease is a hereditary health disease that is primarily related to the
kidneys. This disease causes a large number of cysts to develop within the
kidneys. These cysts are generally sacs filled with fluid and grow
continuously; with their growth, the cysts damage the tissue of the kidneys.
Eventually, when the tissues of the kidneys are completely damaged by the
cysts, the size of the kidneys gets enlarged. As a result, PKD swollen stomach appears when polycystic kidney disease hits a person.
Types of polycystic
kidney disease
Generally, polycystic
kidney disease is categorized into two forms- Autosomal dominant polycystic
kidney disease and Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease.
Autosomal dominant
polycystic kidney disease
A person whose one
parent is affected with ADPKD or the carrier of the gene causing this disease
is 50 percent more prone to get this disease as compared to normal people. This
disease is also known as Adult PKD as the symptoms can appear between 30 to 40
years. It is a common polycystic kidney disease and accounts for approximately
90 percent of cases of polycystic kidney disease. Autosomal dominant polycystic
kidney disease treatment ayurvedic is the most appropriate treatment for this
health disorder.
Autosomal recessive
polycystic kidney disease
Autosomal recessive
polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD) is a very rare form of PKD that occurs when
both the parents of a person have ARPKD or are the carrier of the gene then he
is on higher risk of getting ARPKD. In this PKD, the symptoms can develop
within the starting months of the life. Since this type of PKD causes symptoms
to appear so early; as a result, this type of PKD doesn’t allow the organs of a
patient to develop normally. Due to the abnormal growth of organs, an ARKPD
patient doesn’t survive for long in the absence of adequate
treatment.
Symptoms of Polycystic
kidney disease
In the initial stage
of polycystic kidney disease when cysts are very small in size, no symptoms
appear. But as the cysts grow significantly and damage the most of the tissue
of the kidneys then numerous symptoms can appear. The symptoms of polycystic
kidney disease are
- Urge to urinate more than normal
- Pain in the abdomen
- Pain in the sides of the body
- Kidney stones
- Urinary tract infection
- Skin bruising
- Significant fatigue
- Increased blood pressure
- Pain in joints
Many other
health symptoms also appear and vary from one patient to another.
How the condition can
be diagnosed?
Polycystic kidney
disease can be detected with the help of some lab tests. Those lab tests
are
Urinalysis- This test is performed to determine the
level of protein and blood in the urine. In this test, some urine samples of a
patient are tested in a laboratory.
Screening tests- Renal Ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI are the
tests that provide the images of the internal section of the kidneys to detect
any kind of abnormality related to the size of the kidneys.
Kidney biopsy- This test includes the testing of a tiny
kidney tissue to determine the current functioning ability of the
kidneys.
Mainly, urine tests
and screenings are performed in the condition of polycystic kidney disease.
When a patient undergoes any of the above lab tests and his reports show
abnormal parameters then it means he has affected with PKD.
Best way to cure
polycystic kidney disease
When it gets confirmed
that a person is afflicted with polycystic kidney disease then Ayurvedic
treatment is the best and permanent way to cure this condition. In PKD,
Allopathic treatment has confirmed that it doesn’t have any sure treatment for
this disease. This treatment can only manage the condition by suggesting the
medicines for controlling the complications or not letting them develop
further. In other words, Allopathic treatment can only slow down the cysts'
growth rate and hence adding a few more months or years to the life of a
patient. But it doesn’t cure PKD permanently.
On the other hand,
Ayurveda is a holistic treatment method that utilizes natural herbs and some
natural treatment therapies to cure a health disorder from its roots. Along
with that, Ayurveda also suggests some lifestyle changes including following a
healthy diet and some yoga stances. This is how, Ayurveda works on all the
aspects of a health disorder to cure it from the roots. In polycystic kidney
disease, Ayurveda uses the same principle and targets the roots of PKD to cure
it permanently. Ayurvedic polycystic kidney disease treatment eliminates the
cysts and makes them disappear completely and simultaneously repairs the tissue
of the kidneys. As a result, this treatment makes kidneys as healthy as a
normal person and hence helps a PKD patient in attaining wellness again. Opt
for Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease treatment ayurvedic to get relieved from such kind of genetic health disorder.
